On May 3rd 1993,  Alternative Utility Services, Inc. (AUS) was founded by Fritz Kreiss with his wife, Catherine McQueen. AUS was established to promote and install commercial Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems, and marked the beginning of Fritz’s continuing commitment to renewable green energy and sustainable building practices. Since 1993 AUS has expanded into the fields of energy management, energy brokering and utility consulting, working primarily in the deregulated natural gas and electric markets.
