Remember, your consumption is registered through meters that are connected to your account. This is the usage that you are billed on. If there’s too much snow or debris, it may prevent a meter reader from being able to access the meter, resulting in an estimated meter read.

The occasional estimated read isn’t typically a problem, but long-term estimated reads can result in big over-billing or under-billing, based on incorrect usage.
